Fish and chips. Guilty pleasure that it is, in all its deep fried goodness. Staff is always friendly and food comes out quickly (that could be that I call in my Togo order). Prices are good as well. I don't get here often, but when I do it's either clam strips and chips, or clam strips, fish and chips. So much yummy.

WOW! My husband and I were so impressed by the service and food at Anchors Fish and Chips. We are foodies but rarely eat out anymore as we have a toddler. We now strive for efficiency, haha. We stopped by on a whim and were so impressed. The food was amazing! And surprisingly cost-effective. Although they were serving quite a few guests just before noon, the food was so prompt! We waited no longer than 10 minutes for three meals and there were only a handful of open tables. Our toddler was happy in the high chair they provided, as well as the child-friendly drink options. The place is surrounded by windows so the natural light and views were awesome for keeping kids entertained. As we waited the main service person greeted us and when they brought drinks made it a point to go out of their way to get our child to smile and be comfortable. We were so grateful. It encourages us to go out more! We will be going to Anchors again. As we left they even snuck our little guy a small prize as it was New Year's Eve. Again so kind! I am excited to continue to support this awesome business.

My mom wanted me to write this review lol I ordered her fish and chips through door dash, and she loved it. She is from Scotland and said this brings back memories to eating this meal in Scotland. We are very pleased with the quality of food at this place

It seems I have been picking up McDonald's for my niece next door to Anchors on days they were closed, so I wasn't aware the business was even still open, but when I realized it had regular hours, I wanted to try it and have gone there to order take-out on my way home from my niece's apartment. I'm very glad I did. I have been there many times since. They have a broad seafood menu and they offer 'chicken strips' - one I had today had a small bone in it and that only told me they are using fresh chicken. I LIKE their chicken over other F&C restaurants and I like their batter much more as well. The owner is reserved, so he hasn't seemed but faintly cheerful. But they get my orders perfectly. I also like their coleslaw best. I've been there at times when the restaurant was fairly full with quiet conversations taking place. It's a 'cozy' building with a pleasant interior and a VERY CLEAR menu over the 'ordering desk.' I will continue to patronize them often! I hope to try more of their menu over time. I am VERY surprised at some of the earlier, negative reviews. A single experience at any establishment CAN be disappointing, that's unavoidable. The BUILDING seems in EXCELLENT repair and certainly with NO "holes" in any wall!! It's simple, but well organized and, indeed, CLEAN. I would say, for Fish & Chips it's the best location I've yet seen. Oh, additionally, Anchors is in an excellent LOCATION, with EASY entry and exit at a LIGHT that enters at McDonald's. It isn't crowded against other buildings. It is on Harding, a short distance from Douglas and the Freeway.

Last I was here was like a year ago and I complained about the high prices and I wouldn't come back unless I got a job that paid a lot more! OK, I got a job that pays a lot more now, so I can afford the $20 lunch bill here for a 3 piece fish and chips order along with a drink. At least the prices haven't gone up further in the last year! The fish and the chips are still the same, very delicious and crispy. I think they use pollock fish. It's hotter than you know what outside, but the AC is working fine inside so that's nice .... till you have to go back outside! Service is all the same, fast and efficient. I guess I can come back here now even with the prices, just glad I don't have to pay for anyone else! Mom. Dad and a teenager ... damn, that's a $60 lunch, just for fish and chips!
